Prom Glitter Makeup

Ahhh.... Prom season 'tis. Adding bright glitter to the lid is a perfect way to dress up the eyes without over doing it! This is a classic look for me, and it's relatively easy to do! For a link to one of my youtube videos on a glitter lid, click here.

Steps:

      1. Brows: Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Duo, and MAC Fluidline (Dipdown).
      2. Base: I applied my under eye concealer in a thin layer over the entire lid (MAC Select Cover-Up)
      3. Shadows: MAC Gesso (brow bone, MAC 252 brush), MAC Soft Brown (upper crease, MAC 224 brush), MAC Corduroy (crease, MAC 217 brush), MAC Carbon (inner crease, Sigma E56 brush).
      4. Glitter: I spread a thin layer of MAC Gel Mixing Medium over the lid, being very precise. With aMAC 252 brush I packed MAC Light Blue glitter on to the lid until it was as glittery as my glittery little heart desired.
      5. Lashes/Liner: Before cleaning up the glitter (because at this point it will be everywhere), I applied a coat of mascara (maybelline great lash), then applied a big sharp wing with NYC liquid liner. I made sure to apply it thick to cover all the glitter! Next I filled in the water line with MAC Blacktrack and shaded the bottom lash line with Corduroy eyeshadow.
      6. Finishing touches: To spiff the eyes up, I added Ardell 102 Demi lashes, and dusted some Caitlyn iridescent white shimmer around the tear ducts of the eyes!

      Mermaid-Dolly

So I sort of unintentionally created this colorful dolly look. I had too much time to get ready for a photo shoot and wound up looking like this! I was supposed to take promotional photos for my makeup class and wanted a unique colorful look! I think what really pulled this together was the MAC Candy Yum-Yum lipstick, the cotton candy hair (Anastasia Hyper Colors), and the Barbie Forest Green 16.5mm big circle lenses from Uniqso

      Steps!

      1. Prep the lid with a base! I used MAC Select Cover-Up concealer
      2. After my brows, I highlighted the brow bone with MAC Gesso Shadow and a #252 brush
      3. Next I used MAC #224 brush and MAC Chrome Yellow in the upper crease
      4. With a MAC #217 brush I used a Coastal Scents red shadow for the crease
      5. With the same #217 brush I added MAC Fig.1 shadow to the inner crease
      6. For the lid I used a MAC #252 flat brush and packed MAC Star by Night shadow
      7. I used NYC Liquid liner to create my signature wing!
      8. After adding mascara I applied MAC #7 and #33 lashes as a finishing touch!
